"Back in 2005 my bank rang me up out of the blue to ask if I needed a loan. The timing couldn’t have been better as I was planning an expensive holiday and thought the loan would be a good back up. A couple of years later I found out that a quarter of my monthly loan payment was for PPI insurance I didn’t know I had. There was nothing on my loan agreement about it and the women who sold it to me never mentioned it. I wrote to the bank twice but they insisted I was in the wrong, not them, and refused to refund me.
I was getting more and more angry by their horrible attitude and started searching Internet forums for information on what to do. That’s when I found out about Writeoffloan.com. I rang them for advice and they told me the bank had a case to answer for not writing down anything about the PPI insurance on the agreement or discussing my suitability. Then they referred me to a company who could help and about 8 weeks later, the company managed to get a refund on the PPI insurance from the start of my loan plus interest and compensation. It worked out at £1670. I’m absolutely delighted. Thank you!"
