What is mortgage mis selling?
When you took out your mortgage there is a possibility it may have been mis sold to you. This could have been done in a number of ways and you may not have even realised it, such as;

• If you were advised to take an unsuitable or unaffordable product

• Encouraged to inflate your income by a mortgage broker to ensure you got a loan

• The solicitor has not acted with duty of care

What exactly can I claim for?
There are three main areas that can be claimed on;

• Misrepresentation
  Where you were wrongly advised about the benefits of the product and/or the broker failed to tell you about possible failings

• Conflict of interest
  If the broker placed you in a mortgage that was not suitable for you because it provided them with a better commission

• A technical breach

How will I know if I have a claim or not?
Once we receive your paperwork we will contact your mortgage provider to request the relevant documents. Our experienced solicitors will then review the paperwork and advise if you have a claim within a week.

What are the timescales to process my claim?
Each case can vary in the time it takes to complete, with much of this variation being related to the speed of response by the lender. Most claim types are now expected to last between 4 and 15 months depending on the complexities of the case.

If I make a claim will I be 'blacklisted' by the lender?
No. Mortgage companies, like any company in fact must 'treat customers fairly' and you should not be treated any differently than any other client.

My house is going to be repossessed, can you help?
